Our Annual Student Production is just around the bend, Scheduled for Tuesday June 16 @ 7:00 pm. Please go through the following information regarding performance preparations....Any questions or concerns please e-mail Amy@PittsburghDancExplosion.com or Michelle@PittsburghDancExplosion.com.
LOCATION: Kean Theatre on the St. Barnabas Campus.
CALL TIME: Dancers report to Theatre by 6:00 pm
ENSEMBLE CALL: Ensemble report to dressing room at 5:00 pm
DOORS OPEN for Audience: 6:30
SHOW TIME: 7:00 promptly
No Classes June 15th.
THINGS TO KNOW
1. No Food or Drink (bottled water only) allowed in theatre or dressing rooms.
2. Be sure that every piece of costuming & shoes is labeled with your dancers last name (on masking tape)
3. All dancers must have hair/make-up done before coming to the theatre. ALL CLASSES: Hair down with bangs pulled back. TUMBLING STUDENTS: low ponytail, no bangs. ENSEMBLE: As discussed.
4. Eye shadows in natural tones, as well as a rose or peach blush. Stage Lights wash out the faces that are not highlighted with appropriate make-up. NO BLUE or GREEN shadows please!
5. No Jewelry
6. No game boys, i-pods, or cell phones. We will not be responsible for lost items.
7. Clear finger/toenail polish only.
8. No Panties...they hang out & show under tights and costumes.
9. Finale attire...recital t-shirt, shorts, and tennis shoes. Any complimenting shoes and shorts are acceptable.
10. ONLY BACKSTAGE ASSISTANTS WILL BE ALLOWED IN THE BACKSTAGE/DRESSING AREAS!
11. Parents and Guests, please do not go into the dressing areas or roam the halls of ST Barnabas. This is the residents' home & we need to respect that. All dancers remain in dressing area until end of show. At that time, they will be escorted back to their parents.
REMEMBER: No Flash Photography or Videotaping. All families will be getting a DVD of the performance. Failure to comply will result in dismissal from the event.
****Our Dancers have worked very hard for this presentation and deserve your applause. Only enter and exit the theatre between numbers. Keep talking to a minimum and turn off cell phones. *******
Did you remember to?
1. Pay account in full... including June tuition, late fees, costumes, or ensemble expenses
2. Purchase tickets for the performance....All seats are reserved. Tickets cost $10 purchased between June 1st and June 15th. Tickets will be $12 at the door. ONLY STUDENTS will accounts paid in full can purchase tickets.
3. Spray paint dance shoes....if necessary. The accessory sheet is still posted on the lobby bulletin board.
4. Gathered all pieces of costuming needs for each routine.
5. Received Finale shirt....t-shirts will be handed out at time of ticket purchase.
6. Register for Summer Dance....Great time to advance skills and have fun with new friends
7. Order your copy of the yearbook...$10 if you did not place an ad. The yearbook is free if ad was placed. Distributed prior to the start of the show.
8. Pack bottled water for your dancer for the show. Snacks are provided for the kids backstage. Please feed your child an early dinner....the show is late in the evening.
